Records that support BC funding programs
Most BC centres operate inside the ChildCareBC programs — Child Care Operating Funding (CCOF, including the ECE Wage Enhancement), the Child Care Fee Reduction Initiative (CCFRI), $10 a Day sites, and families' Affordable Child Care Benefit (ACCB). CentreBloom does not apply, opt in, or file claims for any of these — but it keeps the underlying records tidy and in one place, so pulling together what you report is far easier.
For example, CCFRI reduces the parent-paid portion of fees; clean, per-family records of what was charged and paid make that reconciliation straightforward. Optional fees are also under tighter rules: from April 1, 2026, providers in the fee reduction programme may only charge optional fees for extended hours after offering a minimum of 9.5 hours of service in a day during regular operating hours — so an accurate record of what each family was charged, and for what, matters more than ever. Confirm the current rules in the CCFRI funding guidelines before you set fees.

Attendance & ratios for a licensed centre
Licensed BC centres track who's present and keep safe child-to-educator ratios every day. CentreBloom's check-in (staff, or a kiosk families use with a code/QR) records exact in/out times in your local timezone, shows a live ratio indicator, and lets you export attendance for any date range — useful for daily operations and for the records inspections and funding reviews ask about.
Billing & fees, built around BC families
Invoice families, take card payments online, and set up recurring auto-pay tied to a fee plan. Because CCFRI reduces the fee families pay directly, keeping a clean record of the parent portion — charged, paid, outstanding — is exactly what CentreBloom is good at. Receipts and reminders go out automatically by in-app, email and (optionally) SMS.
Payroll that speaks Canadian
Staff hours flow from check-ins into timesheets, and payroll is calculated with CPP, EI and federal + BC provincial income tax using current CRA (T4127) formulas, with year-end T4 preparation. It's built for a Canadian centre rather than adapted from a US tool. CentreBloom is not a certified tax-calculation service — verify amounts against the CRA calculator before paying — and it doesn't submit the ECE Wage Enhancement claim for you, though your payroll records show the wages behind it.

Does CentreBloom handle BC payroll?
Yes — it calculates CPP, EI and federal + BC provincial income tax from staff check-ins using current CRA formulas, and helps prepare T4s. It is not a certified tax service; verify figures against the CRA calculator before paying, as with any payroll tool.
Does it apply for or file CCFRI, CCOF or the Affordable Child Care Benefit?
No. CentreBloom keeps the enrolment, attendance, fee and payment records those ChildCareBC programs rely on, so your reporting and reconciliation are easier — but it does not opt in, apply, or submit government funding claims for you.
Does it handle the ECE Wage Enhancement?
Not the claim itself. Your payroll runs record staff wages, which is the underlying data, but CentreBloom does not submit the wage-enhancement claim to the province.
Is it a licensing or compliance-reporting tool?
CentreBloom keeps records that help at licensing time — attendance, ratios, staff and child records, documents — but it does not itself report to your regional health authority or manage your licence.

The primary database and customer records are hosted in Canada. Some supporting services (e.g. payments, email, SMS) process limited information through sub-processors, some outside Canada — see our Sub-processors page.
